The Wolf of Wall Street is about the true story of the former stockbroker Jordan Belfort who had an unbelievable experience of life. This film is based on his book “The wolf of wall street” and his memory from the year 1987. The film was set in the United States of America, New York City in the late 80s. It tells the story of Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) starts a job on Wall Street in New York City as a stockbroker for L.F. Rothschild, employed under Mark Hanna (Matthew McConaughey) in 1987. After the Black Monday stock market crash, Belfort finds himself out of a job until his wife recommends he gets a job selling penny stocks. With an aggressive approach and a silver tongue, Belfort accumulates a small fortune until he decides to open up his own stock firm with his friend Donnie Azoff, played by Jonah Hill, who decided to quit his job for Jordan, called Stratton Oakmont. From there the movie follows the rise and fall of Jordan Belfort as he lives the high life with more money than he knows what to do with, while the federal government tries to put him in jail for 20 years, but he stayed only 22 months in prison. The movie has a lot of drugs, women, throwing midgets, and some incredible actions like sinking a yacht or flying a helicopter while on drugs with one eye open.
I love the acting in this film. I think Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, Matthew McConaughey, and the rest of the cast did an incredible job. My favorite character is of course Jordan Belfort because his story is inspiring and he had the courage to continue with his business even it was illegal and he had the possibility to stop at a point and live clean with that big amount of money.
This movie is ideal for young entrepreneurs even is 18+. I gave this movie 5 out of 5 stars, go watch it now!!
